Dr. Khan The Philanthropist

Dr. Khan’s scientific contributions are dwarfed by his philanthropic accomplishments. Mrs. Khan, a philanthropist herself, joined Dr. Khan in establishing the Imdad-Sitara Khan Foundation, a charitable organization. The foundation provides financial assistance to the meritorious but economically disadvantaged students in Bangladesh to pursue higher studies in science, engineering and medicine. Dr. and Mrs. Khan considered it important that, “we provide the right resources, guidance, education, and above all support for our children so that they can catch up with the fast moving trends.” Some of their charitable contributions are highlighted in the following pages.
